#179 SR400Custom Report
Finished the SR400 custom in a cosmopolitan mixture style of Bobber/Chopper/Old Racer.
The new owner, who took over the ” Custom Gallery No.132 ” that I was involved in before, brought in the vehicle, and I was allowed to customize the exterior such as the rear area, headlights, mufflers, etc., while balancing the overall balance, FCR carburetor conversion, and “vehicle inspection/maintenance“.

A 13cm long hardtail kit was incorporated into the rear area to improve the vehicle balance, and other seats, fenders, sissy bars, etc. were used as they were before, and production was kept as low cost as possible.
The overall worn-out garage build atmosphere is left as it is, and the newly made headlight stays and other parts are finished in a rough style with the processing marks left as they are.

〇As the name suggests, it’s a detachable hardtail kit using bolts/nuts. It remodels the seat rail of the original frame to make it rigid line. You can revert it back to swing arm/rear shock specification during vehicle inspection or when changing styles.
【Rear Wheel】
◯The rear wheel is a hot rod standard 15 inches. It can be made to the same specifications with custom spokes on the Virago 250 rim.
【Sissy Bar】
◯The sissy bar and rear fender are used as they were, the sissy bar is processed to mount on the frame side, and a deadstock mud flap is attached to the front side of the short rear fender when it is a swing arm specification, keeping the production cost low.
(The short rear fender on the front side causes sand, dirt, and water on the road to be thrown back directly into the carburetor, causing malfunctions and engine blowouts.)
