We have created a super narrow SR400 chopper.
Ordered by an owner from Mie Prefecture who was very fond of the previously created “No. 278 SR400“,
in response to the request to “make it slim and tight”,
this is a full custom made even narrower than this No. 278.
We prepared an 18cm long hardtail to match the large owner,
and from the top of that hardtail, we drastically narrowed the frame under the seat, and with the adoption of a one-off 2° rake 5cm narrow triple tree,
we achieved good handling and made it unprecedentedly slim.
Explanation of handling by rake tree
By raking the front fork 2° in relation to the neck angle of the vehicle body tilted by the long fork and rear lowering,
we have adjusted the extended trail value (heavy handling) to be shorter (handling becomes lighter) and made it easier to ride.
The fact that the front fork tilts further, creating a more chopper-like silhouette, is also a feature.
The narrowest triple tree width ever made in 2%ER history.
The area around the seat rail, which has become unprecedentedly slim by bending the upper part of the hardtail kit inward.
We adopted a simple no-brake 18-inch spool hub wheel,
and attached two calipers to the rear wheel.
Without the front brake, it becomes an extremely simple chopper-like overall silhouette.
We operate one caliper with the hand brake lever and the other with the foot brake pedal,
achieving both simple styling and safety. (Two brake masters are mounted on the rear of the engine)
We added molding to the frame, tank, rear fender, etc., and asked our old friend in Kyoto, “P.H.K“, to do the painting.

●The front fork, which has been extended to 37.5cm with a long inner tube and fork joint, is 5cm narrower than the original for improved styling and handling, and is set with a 2° rake triple tree.
The handle area is extremely simple due to the use of a rear double caliper and jockey shift.

● A one-off narrow sportster tank with ribs is mounted in the best position, and sheet metal and bond molding are added to the frame before and after the tank.
The brake master is mounted in a two-row configuration for the hand brake and foot brake, with a small custom master behind the engine crankcase, pulled by a wire from the brake lever.
The solo seat and pillion pad with backrest, which were decided while the owner was straddling, are both good for riding posture and fatigue resistance with a mid-high step.

●The industry’s first normal hub modified disc brake kit. This is a specification where the calipers are installed in double and the handbrake can also be used in order to make the front area extremely simple, like a chopper that does not arrange brakes around the front.
The center rib fender is mounted with a safe 6-point mount, and it comes with a stainless steel sissy bar.
The turn signal is so small that it cannot be confirmed in the image, it is an approved Star Beans turn signal.
