#327 SR400Custom Report
This is a fully customized SR400 that we created based on an order from Nara Prefecture.
We incorporated the balanced and somewhat rustic chopper style with rear shocks, known as “Nor-Cal“, which was often seen in Northern California in the 70s, into the SR. This includes a one-piece frame with a molded gas tank and a Frisco fender strut mount.
Unlike regular customizations, the front and rear wheels have chrome-plated rims and powder-coated hubs,
The engine has a dazzling finish with chrome finishes on the covers and cerakote finishes on the cylinders and other parts, as well as chrome plating on various parts and bolts, making it a higher-grade custom.
We have combined one-off parts and regular parts to match the style, resulting in a show-level finish.
【Welding method of gas tank/main frame】
We weld the SR400/500 tank and frame, which are particularly prone to cracking due to the different temperatures of the cold gas tank and the hot oil tank, using our unique method. Please click on the image for more details.
The bond work between the gas tank and the frame was done by our old acquaintance from our independent training days, “P.H.K” from Kyoto,
The paintwork was done by “BACON“, a world-renowned patina painter who is also a partner of 2%ER and a friend from when we started riding bikes.

The ride comfort is good due to the moderately thick one-off seat and the mid-high step that allows the weight to be distributed, and the riding position where all joints bend moderately and the cushioning.
