#242 SR400Custom Report
This chopper was created with additional options such as long forks, mid-high steps, sissy bars, and aging paint by ‘BACON‘, based on the ‘ STD Hardtail Complete‘ ordered from our local Shiga Prefecture. We carefully set the positions of each exterior part and finished it with the ‘beautiful silhouette’ requested by the owner.
Although we have produced more than 60 hardtail SRs, we have made use of our past experience to not only focus on looks, but also on operability, fatigue resistance, ease of diagnosis in case of electrical troubles, ease of installation/removal of each part, ease of line maintenance at the time of vehicle inspection, durability, and quick repair in case of unexpected damage.

FrontHandlebars, F forks, headlights, etc.
•As of 2021, the longest setup is a 30cm (12 inch) over long fork. The front wheel is a genuine 18 inch. To prevent the handling from becoming too heavy, we set up a round vertical groove tire of size 3.00-08.

• This was a custom order with particular attention paid to the overall balance and silhouette, so as usual, I carefully designed the center area, paying attention to the placement of each part. The narrow sportster tank is neither too forward nor too backward, neither too low nor too high, and is securely fixed with a three-point rubber mount at the best height to overlay the main frame for a long fork silhouette. The unique aging paint, including the fender, was requested from “BACON“.
