The cafe racer SR400, a style of the 60s British delinquent culture, rockers style.
The cafe racer style is still popular today, just like the chopper/bobber, and continues to evolve into various styles, but this vehicle was made while taking advantage of the goodness of SR as a very traditional 60’s style.
In order to take advantage of the solid metal texture, the paint is deliberately monochrome, and it is finished as a tough rockers specification without doing anything unnecessary, simply and without any frills.
The cockpit area of the cafe racer is a place where various commitments are expressed by the rider, such as the height of the headlights and the selection of stays, which determine the claim of “riding” and the overall silhouette. This SR400 has a high mount Lucas light with a pipe work light stay. It was produced in a silhouette following BSA.
