#164 XS750Custom Report
This chopper was created based on the Yamaha XS750, which was Yamaha’s first 3-cylinder and first shaft drive, released in the late 1970s as a competitor to the Honda CB and Kawasaki Z.
The owner of the 2%ER shop acquired a base that was in a dilapidated and immobile state, repaired and maintained various parts, and worked on it while enjoying the B-class chopper manners of the time.
Focusing on areas such as the front fork and gas tank that were too worn out to be used, we extended the front fork with original parts while keeping the normal frame, and created a high-speed tourer that can easily go on long tours with sissy bars and high back seats.
The gas tank and rear fender, which were newly created for the vehicle that was not in a clean state, were aged and painted to match the overall atmosphere.
Since it was my own vehicle, I borrowed a paint booth from ” BACON ” and painted it myself while learning from the master.

【Front Fork Area】
◯ The unusable front area was modified and reused from SR500.

【Front Wheel】
◯The wheel is also reused from SR.

〇You can change to a classical style by sticking it on the normal drum brake.
【Front Tire】
〇A street tire with a vertical groove design. It helps to lighten the handling that tends to become heavy when long forks are used. It is a small diameter size with a roundness of 3.00.
【Headlight】
〇A headlight with a visor and a bright H4 bulb. It’s a convenient headlight that can store a lot of wiring in the body.
【Handle/Handle Area】
“One-off Z-Bar”
◯The handle is a one-off Z-bar using a tapered pipe for the rise. It was created as a replica of vintage chopper parts.

【Speedometer】

【Mirror】
◯ A black version of the cross mirror that suits B-class custom well.
CenterTank, oil tank, seat, step, muffler etc.
• The frame is customized around the center/body without much alteration. A typical Sportster tank has been modified and installed.
【Muffler】
◯I wanted to emphasize the triple-cylinder engine, so I created a one-off drag pipe with three in a row. I added a little movement to the end part as an accent.
【Seat】
◯The seat is a vintage high-back for a swing arm frame. After riding for a while, the hardened surface of the original item tore, so I re-covered it with a new surface before handing it over to the new owner.
【Carburetor】
◯The intake has been converted to a power filter by removing the air cleaner box. A support has been made for the carburetor, which is suspended only by the manifold rubber, to make it possible to ride for a long time.
RearFenders, rear shocks, swingarms, etc.
【Rear Shock】
〇A rear shock that lowers by about 4cm. It moves well among low-down suspensions. (Removal of the original chain case is necessary)
【Sissy Bar】

◯The Sissy Bar was installed with a little modification to the SR400/500 Sissy Bar kit. The length is of the middle type.
【Rear Fender】
◯ A 5in flat fender is set on the rear subframe, which is slightly cut only at the end.
