#176 SR400Custom Report

This is an SR400 that we are slowly and steadily building, based on an order from an owner who travels a considerable distance on a single tour.

We are incorporating almost all of the select parts from ” No.9 STD Chopper Complete “, but instead of completing it all at once with a complete order, we have been customizing it little by little with day-to-day work, carefully planning in advance to match the timing of the owner’s visits from afar several times a year, and it is still in progress.

The style is a B-class chopper with a suspension that retains the normal tank, just like an SR.

We are building it according to the owner’s wishes, with a menu typical of a B-class chopper at the time, such as extending the front fork, up handle, sissy bar, and keeping the normal tank for its advantageous gasoline capacity for long touring.

We will continue to evolve, but for now, we have shaped it as a sample of a chopper style without any modifications to the frame and with the normal tank as it is, so we have posted it in this custom gallery.

With the extension of the fork, the straight-line stability is increased, and it is a custom that is particularly suitable for long touring, with a seat and step position that is less tiring, and a sissy bar that can comfortably load luggage for several nights.

Custom List

FrontHandlebars, F forks, headlights, etc.

• The front area has been transformed into a long fork, just like Chopper. It’s a total of 30 cm (12 inches) over. The handling, which tends to get heavy when riding in the city with a long fork, is cleared by selecting a round 3.00 size for the front tire.

〇A street tire with a vertical groove design. It helps to lighten the handling that tends to become heavy when long forks are used. It is a small diameter size with a roundness of 3.00.

Front Wheel

Muffler

Step

〇This step kit is essential for 2%ER’s custom, which makes the riding posture cool and the position extremely less tiring.


Seat

Old school bucket double seat SR400/500

◯A stepped seat that serves as a stopper for upper body weight shift during acceleration. The wide seating surface disperses body weight, significantly reducing the strain on your grip, chest muscles, and upper arms during acceleration, making it very easy to ride.


Gasoline Tank Installation

◯ The normal gasoline tank is mounted at an angle to make it look like a chopper. The front side is slightly lifted. A gap is created between the engine and the tank, making the silhouette look like a chopper.
