Initially, the SR400 was casually built in very short intervals during work breaks and overtime for the representative of 2%ER, for everyday use and summer touring in Hokkaido. Later, it was handed over to his son who turned 18. It is based on the “Complete No.8 STD Hardtail“, with a few additional options to make it a popular style at 2%ER. Additional options include fork joints, 21-inch front conversion, mid-high position jockey shift kit, pillion pad, sissy bar, and gas tank paint.

The handlebar, mid-high step, and pillion pad positions were determined to fit the height and physique of both the father and son. Despite the rigid frame without rear shocks, the position is set so that it doesn’t tire you out whether you’re riding around town or on a long tour. It’s a comfortable ride that you can easily start anytime, whether after work or on a day off, for short distances or for a 5-day tour of Hokkaido (2300km) with camping gear loaded in the summer.

•The body/center area is assembled with the most popular exterior parts in 2%ER. The gas tank is a narrow sports star tank. It is safely mounted with a three-point rubber mount. The paint, which is usually outsourced, was done by myself on the spot, borrowing the factory of “BACON“.


Muffler

◯The muffler is a one-off semi-up type drag pipe.

Step/Shift

    Hardtail

    “Rigid Line” Bolt-On Hardtail Kit』(5cm Long)

    〇It becomes a rigid frame that connects the stem to the rear axle in a straight line, resulting in a deeper style that was not seen in past SR customs. The attachment and detachment are, as the name suggests, a bolt/nut design. You can easily change to a swing arm/rear shock specification during style changes or vehicle inspections (required time approximately 2 hours).


    Rear Tire

    Rear Fender

    ◯A flat fender is used for the rear fender. It is said that the SR’s rear fender can crack, but we have effectively reinforced the back side and securely installed it with a 6-point mount. We have added a sissy bar that we custom-made with an angle bar.
