#225 SR400Custom Report
This is a vehicle brought in by a 21-year-old from our local Shiga Prefecture.
He was enjoying customizing his own scrambler-style bike, and had been coming to 2%ER for adjustments and maintenance. After many discussions, he decided to order a full custom job.
We created this bike while having many meetings, aiming for the style of a certain American builder that the owner admired.
This custom job features a new ape bar handle, mid-high step kit, and a 2-inch spring mount solo seat for a relaxed, fatigue-free position. The owner chose a wine red x gold paint job, with a few brass parts placed as accents.
We also used a newly launched front 21-inch mini drum kit and an 18cm long hardtail kit.

◯The meter is set in front of the left side of the gas tank, where it does not interfere with the design and is easy to see. The ACEWEL electric meter is slightly modified and attached to the normal tank receiving boss part, and it operates by picking up pulses with a sensor set in the brake panel support where the magnet is embedded in the front wheel.

•The gasoline tank is a one-off that has been extended by 2cm in length and width, respectively, of what is usually called a chopper tank/egg tank.
【Muffler】

〇This is a one-off side-exit shotgun muffler made using a convenient kit for the mouthpiece at the root. It was made with a 45φ pipe up to the middle, and a 50.8φ pipe from the middle to the turn-out end.

◯ Based on the “BATES type genuine leather solo saddle seat”, we have custom-made it in the owner-specified brown color and mounted it with a 2-inch spring. The pillion pad is a custom-made item that matches the solo seat in brown leather and has been extended in length. It was made to be long enough to allow for tandem riding at the mounting position that serves as a stopper during acceleration, and we have installed it.

〇As the name suggests, this is a detachable hardtail kit using bolts/nuts. It remodels the seat rail of the original frame to make it a rigid line. You can revert to a swing arm/rear shock specification when you have a vehicle inspection or want to change the style.
