#75 XS650Custom Report

Full custom of XS650.

 

After listening to many requests from the owner who did not like the custom made by someone else before, we made many suggestions and rebuilt everything to make him satisfied. This is the completed custom.

 

We focused on the overall balance, and finished it in a style like a worn-out racer with one-off parts with a vintage taste and aging processing.

 

The overall silhouette is a 74 springer for Harley, F19 / R18 inch wheels, swing arm extended by 7cm, seat rail drop.

 

We placed one-off exterior parts in balance with the smart body, considering the ride comfort.

Custom List

FrontHandlebars, F forks, headlights, etc.

Front Fork

◯A front fork that has been modified and repurposed from Harley’s 74 Springer. In order to make the Springer function properly, the position of the link rod is changed so that the fork sinks smoothly when braking.


Front Wheel

◯The front wheel is 19 inches. We selected all-state tires with an outstanding atmosphere.


Headlight

◯ The headlight case and lens are valuable 7-inch originals from the British Lucas company. They were mounted with a hand-bent stainless steel stay. Although these are British-style parts, they also go well with a ’74 Springer.

Handle

◯ The handle is a one-off patchwork, supported by a brass handle post. The grip is from NICE Motorcycle.

Speedometer

CenterTank, oil tank, seat, step, muffler etc.

• The aged gas tank is a modified and reused one from HONDA E-Hatov.


Muffler

◯The exhaust pipe, which closely follows the frame and engine, is custom-made from stainless steel. It is designed so that you can change the oil without removing it. The silencer is a dead stock trumpet. It is a long bell specification.


Step

◯The one-off mid-high step is finished in parkerizing. It was built to be simple yet flavorful.


Seat

◯The seat is a downsized KR type seat pan. Thanks to the rear shock and seat springs, it’s comfortable even without a sponge.

Welding nut non-through M8 2p

〇Used by welding to the frame side as a seat spring receiver.


Seat Rail

◯The frame under the seat is smartly drop-processed. The joints are made with a plug-in lug finish to give it a classical atmosphere.


【Air Cleaner】

◯The air cleaner box visible under the seat is modified and reused from XS650E.


  • RearFenders, rear shocks, swingarms, etc.

    •Extended the swing arm by 7cm to match the style.


    Rear Shock

    “280mm G-Suspension/Chrome”

    〇A rear shock that lowers by about 4cm. It moves well among low-down suspensions.


    Rear Wheel

    ◯The rear wheel is an 18-inch chrome rim. The tire is Allstate.


    Rear Fender

    ◯The one-off rear fender is a modified version for Harley. The fender stay was made very simply. It was finished to look worn out with aging processing on the poor flame pattern.
