This is a cafe racer style custom based on the long-selling model Honda CB400 Super Four, familiar from driving school cars.

The owner is a stylish architect, and when he brought in the vehicle, the only orders were the shape of the gas tank and the keyword “cafe racer”. Other than that, he liked the past custom cars of 2%ER, and left everything, including the color, up to us.

 

The cafe racer continues to evolve and new styles continue to appear, but this Super Four was built with an interpretation and arrangement of 2%ER style, advocating the Brat Cafe, which is currently a movement mainly in Europe, based on a horizontal theme.

The main custom menu includes the handle/headlight area, rebuilding the subframe, a one-off gas tank, seat/seat cowl, side cover, one-off muffler, etc., and the wheels and brakes around the feet are normal.

The CB400SF has a robot-like design, but we left only the thick and massive parts, and added hands only to the main parts to match the owner’s atmosphere, and designed and produced the whole with a slightly bad, neo-classical image.

 

The paint is 〇 ” Kamikaze Pinstripe “. Since the color was also left up to us, we had a hard time deciding, but we had them adjust the color and pattern to match the owner’s everyday clothes and atmosphere many times in front of us and had them paint it.

 

With this look, the V-TECH is also working properly, and it’s incredibly fun when you get into high revs.

Custom List

FrontHandlebars, F forks, headlights, etc.

The owner’s keyword was “cafe racer”, so the handlebars were changed to separate handlebars. It’s the 〇 “2%er Stainless Steel Separate Handle“. In addition, we used the 〇 “Pipework Light Stay Type 1“.

Each is a regular product for 35φ forks (such as SR400/500) made of stainless steel, but we made a one-off production with a main pipe of 41φ to fit the CB400SF.

The headlight is a classic bullet type, 〇 “7 inch Lucas type headlight case chrome“.

Daytona’s brake master, speedometer, clutch lever from other cars, mini switch,

The handlebar area is moderately cleaned up with things like the 〇 “Amal type throttle holder, general purpose (for 7/8″)“.

 

The plastic front fender was replaced with a shorter one made of stainless steel in a one-off production.


CenterTank, oil tank, seat, step, muffler etc.

The gasoline tank, which was custom-made from a single iron plate, was created in the exact shape the owner envisioned. This is the starting point of this custom bike. The paint is by Kamikaze in Kyoto. We chose a semi-glossy dark blue-gray as the base color, with a dark gray pattern, and a subtle moss green pinstripe on the outside for a chic finish.

We cut off the normal seat lower frame to match the design of the gasoline tank and rebuilt it with thick steel pipes to make it a horizontal line.

We have designed it to be easy to access each part, considering the maintainability later, so that the air cleaner can use the original one to protect the function of each part.

The side cover, which was made to match the modified frame, is a one-off production made of hand-beaten aluminum.

The full exhaust that tightens under the belly is one-off.

The exhaust pipes are made of steel, and the silencer is made of stainless steel. We used the 〇 ” Universal Megaphone Muffler ” for production.


  • RearFenders, rear shocks, swingarms, etc.

    A one-off steel seat/cowl, designed to match the gas tank, is mounted on the frame that extends in a straight line from the seat subframe.

    We made it so that the powerful rear tire is clearly visible. The tail lamp is a Lucas tail, slightly recessed for installation.

    The rear shock is borrowed from another vehicle, and the vehicle height is lowered by 2 cm.

    Although not shown in the picture, for the owner who often goes on long-distance touring,

    We have made a rear carrier that can be easily detached in just 5 minutes.
